In 2000 I got to visit Israel and the area around Galilee was my favorite. We were able to go out on boats at night and see the lights of the town and the other boats lit up. That said, the way the land is formed and how sudden storms can come up, it was kinda scary. Being there really brought the story to life.
This painting has great dark and light contrast. I love the filtered rays of light coming in behind the boat.
