Thank you for your thoughtful and insightful words on the Les Miserables Movie. Les Miserables the musical holds a special place in my heart especially the character of Javert, so the criticism of Russell Crowe's acting and singing made me sad and I wondered if the movie version had failed to convey the truth and somehow tainted the message Victor Hugo was sending. Your words and thoughts have been like a calming balm and I'm now looking forward to seeing the movie in a couple of weeks time - just for what it is, without comparing it to themusical,another actors interpretation etc.
