People Watching

So, I've been gone...if you hadn't noticed. Life has been full and recently I've been camping down at the Oregon State Fair.
As you can imagine it's a pretty good place to people watch.

I've been reading so many character creating and writing books and I just can't stop thinking of people as characters.
I think I came up with about 7 detailed character sketches from people I've seen over the last few days.
I probably won't use very many of them, but some of my main characters for my story came out of inspiration from actual people. Plus it's an interesting exercise.

I'm going to go catch up on laundry. ;-)
Thanks for reading,
Miss Pickwickian

This post reminds of last night- I was at a baseball and saw this man and his son and couldn't help creating a very cool duo out of them! People watching is a great sport. XD

Most of the characters in my books, came from real people too - though usually ones I know in person. I do enjoy watching all kinds of people. It can be very educational. :)

I love people watching, I'm sure most of the people around me would be very rather curious to know what fascinating lives they lead!=)

People watching is always interesting and inspiring in some way, shape, or form. I like to do it too....never really thought about anyone I see being a "character" though!
