In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Les Miserables Musical, I will be hosting a week long event April 13th-22nd.
Before the event begins, there is an open essay contest for all those interested.
First prize will be the 25th Anniversary DVD and runner ups will be include amazing Les Miz themed jewelry, journals, and posters.
The first person to submit their essay receives a reward. ;-)
Please help by spreading the word!
If you are not familiar with the musical, I strongly encourage you to do so. You do not have to be an expert to participate.
If you are completely lost in the story, watch one of the videos before you only listen to a recording.
And, of course, there are plenty of us eager to answer questions. ;-)

This is wonderful. I hope you get tons of people who do this!~ I'm going to think about it doing it myself.
You know, I don't even know what "Les Miserables" is - except that I *think* it has something to do with the French... Do you think you could do a post, summarizing what it is about and why it's worth getting into? I am genuinely interested! (If you already have one that I've missed, I would love a link! :)

I love this kind of contest! It's so very satisfying, even if you don't win, because you did something for it. More than just voting or telling you which prize we like best. Those kind are fun, but every now and again I like the type that make you work hard for th eprize.
So, I will be getting you an essay soon.
When does the contest end? (I don't recall seeing it)
